Hyoumankind was born through the personal experience of founder Steph Wyborn. Back in 2010, struggling with her own slumber and comfort levels led her on a journey to understand the connection between sleep and its impact on health, appearance, and wellbeing.
With scientific research to connect sleep with wellbeing, but few pillow options aligned with the science, Steph began to make and trial her own, right from her kitchen table. What followed was a decade of research, experimentation, and collaboration – resulting in a range of four ergonomically designed, memory foam pillows designed to create comfort throughout life, for the whole body.
Today, we still take immense pride in designing and crafting Hyoumankind pillows in Aotearoa New Zealand. This commitment not only supports our local economy, but it enables us to uphold our quality control promise, from design, to manufacture, and customer care. We could save money by outsourcing these processes overseas, but we aren’t prepared to compromise on the trust of our incredible customers.
